Weaknesses:

  • Split into two pages, one Search page and one Explore page that serve the search function

  • Although the UI is organized, the photo infinity scroll is not accessibility friendly

Strengths:

  • Search function is at the top of three main pages: Home, Recipes, and Videos

  • Photo search page has three categories: Popular, Meat & Fish, and Sauce

  • Video Search page has 10 categories: Main, Dessert (Cakes), Dumplings, Bread, Dessert (Donuts), Dinner, Drinks, Healthy

Weaknesses:

  • Cluttered UI with many contrasting colors (this is partially just a cultural difference)

  • Recipe Search split into two pages: Photos and Videos


 

European Market: BBC Good Food

Strengths:

  • Home page includes search bar at the top

  • Upon searching, a list of recipes appears, with filters: Recipes, Collections, and Member Recipes

Weaknesses:

  • Separate Search page is too plain, looks outdated, and when typing in the search bar a dropdown menu does not appear

  • Recipe saving function only for in-app recipes, not for recipes across the web
